About Millie
Hi Everyone,
My name is Millie, and I am 4 years old.
I am a happy little girl weighing around 50kgs not particularly big for a Great Dane. My tail has a mind of its own and is always wagging and that’s because I love life and I love food. If I see food, I eat it. I also love toys and I am happy to share my toys with my foster brother.
I am a little shy when I first meet people and other dogs. One on one is ok but groups make me nervous. I do eventually relax if I am given some space.
I love my walks and my Foster Mum says I walk very well on a lead I don’t bark at other dogs when I am out walking. However, at home when my foster brother barks, I can’t help myself and I bark as well.
I know some commands such as bed and stay however I do need someone to help me understand a few more commands so I can be the smartest dog in the street.
I love car rides but get very sleepy and usually wake up when it’s all over. I don’t mind if you have to go out for a while and leave me at home, I know you will come back.
I am not fussed on a home with a cat, and I have never met any livestock however a male dog would be good company for me. Even though some young children are used to big dogs I am not used to young children. I am nervous and unsure of myself. I would be most comfortable living in a home with children over 12 years.
I must tell you that I been known to do a little digging, not often enough for it to be an issue but my Foster Mum has spoken to me about it a couple of times and I try to be good. I have never tried to run away but I do require 6ft fencing so that I am safe and secure in my home.
My foster Mum says I am very loveable, and like lots of love and attention. I will give you lots of love as well. I am very excited knowing that soon I will have a family of my own.
If you think that I could become a member of your family, then please complete an Adoption Application.
