Freddy

Hi! I'm Freddy and I'm looking for a new family to call my own.

The first thing you need to know about me is that I am a VERY ACTIVE boy who loves loves loves chasing after a ball and I will bark at you to make you throw it again. Shelter staff think I would be great at Flyball or Obedience training which should help me burn up some energy.

NOTE: You are unable to meet Freddy until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Midget in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.

What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• I show signs of being reactive to male dogs and can be reactive when walking past them, so I prefer to be the only dog or to live with a submissive female dog.
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• Being a social and playful pupper I would love to go to doggy daycare
• Being an active breed I have a lot of energy so an active family is a must!
• I appeared scared of cats when meeting them at the shelter however once my confidence around them grows I might be more inquisitive. If going to a home with a cat they must be dog savvy and we must be introduced slowly.
• I LOVE water and would love to have my very own clam pool to laze around in.

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car

My best features:
• Very playful
• Wiggle butt
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• I walk well on lead
• Social butterfly
• I LOVE toys, playing fetch and a game of tug-o-war
• I love attention, hugs, kisses & head scratches
• Love to snooze on the couch
• Exuberant & full of beans
• I LOVE the water and will splash about in my water bowl, play with the hose and swim in the basin/river
