About Junior
Junior is a young twenty month old Black and Tan German Shepherd whose old owner was unable to provide adequate care and time for this gentle boy.
Junior is so wanting a home where he can connect with his family and show how much love he can give to his humans.
Junior is an incredibly gentle natured German Shepherd who loves affection and just wants to be your shadow. He loves belly rubs and has come to look forward to his frequent brushes which keep his coat glistening and soft. He rarely jumps and is very good around tables full of food.
He is already toilet trained, and anything he does not already know he is quick to learn.
He initially received one on one training with our Dog Trainer - Bear The Dog Behaviourist and the training has been continued by his foster carers. He is able to walk beautifully on lead. When in a known environment he is able to heel without lead.
He need constant companionship eg family members at home or a dog sibling. His current foster carers are happy to share a list of toys he has been enjoying.
Junior is an active dog who will be suited to a home with either a single person or a couple that have experience with the German Shepherd breed and have the time and commitment for this young dog.
So if you are looking for a loyal large breed German shepherd dog then this gentle boy who breaks our hearts when he cries so wanting love and attention.
We want Junior to go to a home where he will be an integral family member. He is not suitable to go to a home with young children as he is a large boned 32 kilo boy who doesn’t know he is a big boy.
He has not been tested with cats or pocket pets. Junior is a good car traveller and loves interacting with people.
Intelligence, loyalty, love and companionship is what Junior will give in abundance when he connects and builds that trust with his new owner.
If you understand the nature of the German Shepherd, have recently owned this breed, and are looking for a companion dog then please consider Junior.
If you think you can give me a new home please contact us by selecting "Enquire about Junior".
Medical notes
Junior is microchipped has been desexed, heart wormed tested negative and vaccinated C5.
He is in care at Penrith, NSW.
Junior has been receiving one on one training with our Dog Trainer and is responding beautifully.
Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
