About Hannah
Hannah is a little cutie-pie that just adores her toys and playing. It's her favourite thing to do. She is a bit of a cleptomaniac (very common with greys) and likes to hoard as many toys as she can in her favourite spot. She will chase a ball until she runs out of puff- which only takes about ten minutes. Then she’ll have a satisfying snooze on the couch or her bed. Being a typical teenager, she has a bit of energy and would love to go on adventures with you. Hannah can be quite sedate at times as well. She will have her bursts of energy and then sleep the rest of the time - in typical greyhound style.
Hannah is super affectionate and loves her cuddles. She will happily cuddle up next to you on the couch with her head on your lap and snooze the hours away. You won’t want to get up to interrupt her blissful cuddle time with you.
Being a young girl, Hannah is still learning her manners around the kitchen and taking her treats on the couch. Her foster carers are working on some 'on your bed' training to help with this.
Hannah can be a little bit shy out and about and prefers slow introductions to other dogs and people. Once she feels comfortable, she is absolutely delightful. Hannah will need someone who is home more often than not and will be happy to continue her home-alone training. She will be fine as an only dog or perhaps with a younger dog that doesn't mind high energy play and toy stealing. Hannah will need a yard for her playtime antics.
Hannah happily sleeps the night away and will let you know when she needs to go to the toilet.
This cute little pixie is an absolute delight and is sure to entertain.

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, they can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour. Yes, they may "grow out" of it after a few weeks in their new home, but why put the dog through that stress to ultimately live all day alone, while everyone is at work? As a result we do not rehome dogs into households where they are left on their own for more than 4 hours per day, without either people or another dog for company.
During the COVID crisis, not all of our rescued Greyhounds will have the usual socialisation with other dogs so we may advise to use a muzzle in some situations until the dog is fully socialised.

Following your initial application, we conduct a home check. Our dogs are placed on a two week trial. The adoption fee is paid at time of placement and reimbursed if the trial is unsuccessful.
