About Charlie
Hey everyone, Charlie here! My human has described me as a 'love bug'. I'm the most loyal guy they've ever met - I think this sums me up nicely!
I can't explain how much I LOVE hanging out with my humans. It doesn't matter what they're doing - cooking, showering or watching TV, I like being close by. Cuddles is the absolute best way to start the day! While my people are out, I'll happily snooze the day away. There is no need for a special bed; the floor is comfy enough. (Although I would also prefer sleeping in your bed!)
I love playing with my squeaky toy and going for strolls. I don't need much exercise, but a daily walk would be great. I'm great at walking on a lead, and I love car trips. Brushing myself against things like curtains, scrubs, or clothes feels pleasant and calming. As I didn't have the best start in life, I have learned that this brushing puts me in a trance! I'm used to spending my days indoors, but I do enjoy a little potter around the garden when I'm let out to go to the toilet (I'm entirely toilet trained, by the way!).
I am looking for a special and patient human who will help me with my doggy manners. I am very reactive when I see other dogs (even those on TV) and have a habit of resource guarding. An experienced human would really help me with this. Because of this, I need a home where I can be your only pet. Also, no small kids who will go near my food, please.

Medical notes
Charlie has a very sensitive stomach. For this reason, he will need to be on a strict diet. He has recently had a dental, so this poor guy is missing a few front teeth. However, high-quality dry food will help keep his other teeth nice and pearly!
Recently, he has been desexed. At this stage, it may be his enlarged prostates causing him diarrhea and strain when toileting. Charlie will need his anal glands expressed regularly at the vet. Charlie has a low-grade heart murmur, which does not cause issues. Charlie has been treated for fleas and worms regularly.

It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Change of Ownership paperwork will be completed, vetwork history will be provided and your new family member will be snuggled on your couch in no time!
