About Barney
AVAILABLE NOW
Adopt 13 week old Barney free/ by donation.
Can you be the special person this guy needs?
Little Barney is just a baby but he's faced a lot of challenges in his short life. Barney was trapped by the rangers living a tough life under a building on an isolated property.
His 5 siblings came with him but unfortunately there was no sign of their mum.
These little guys were riddled with ringworm and had never seen a human before so they came in fighting - hissing, spitting, all legs flailing!
Barney and his siblings have now been in care for 6 weeks. Their ringworm is past the infectious stage and they don't need any further treatment for that.
Oh we didn't mention they also had cat flu... thankfully that's resolved now too!
Barney has become more confident and trusting with his caregiver, but is still very unsure of new people and different places. He will hiss, then turn tail and run into hiding.
He loves to play with other kitties and will do best in a home with a social, playful cat who can hang out with him and show him the ropes.
Barney is flighty and scratchy at the moment so he's not suited to living with children if they want to grab and cuddle him - though if they can go slow and steady, that will be okay.
Barney deserves for his life to turn around . He deserves his fresh start. We know he looks pretty sad in his photos. But you can change that!
He's desexed, microchipped and vaccinated. Currently located in Northam but can come to Perth metro area for adoption.
Message the page or email avonvalley@safe.org.au if you're keen to turn his life around!
