About Sage ~ 1yr Old American Staffy(On Trial 27/8/22)
PLEASE NOTE: Dog Rescue Newcastle provide individual listings specific to each foster dog that comes through our doors. Each listing outlines the specific requirements, and home that we are looking for. Should you submit an application OR inquiry and NOT receive a response within 5 business days (Monday-Friday), please understand that you have not met the specific requirements of the foster carer and will not be proceeding to the next stage. Please do not be disheartened or discouraged if you do not receive a reply, this simply means you were not a suitable match at this time. Dog Rescue Newcastle reserve the right to not reply to unsuitable applicants and will not tolerate bullying, intimidation or harassment of our volunteers
Meet Sage, a 1 year old blue American Staffy. An absolute snuggle-bug, Sage is a loving girl who thrives on attention and being around her humans.
Sage loves to keep busy exploring her surroundings, playing with her rattle ball or napping. She enjoys going on walks and has been practising walking with a harness and lead since coming into care.
Sage may take a few days to feel comfortable in her new environment and with her new people but after a short time she will feel like one of the family.
Sage currently sleeps inside, and will occasionally bark at things that are new or to give you a warning if someone is around. Sage came into care with urinary incontinence, however this is very well controlled with medication. She is toilet trained and knows how to ‘sit’, however she will require ongoing training in her new home.
Sage’s forever family will need to have an active lifestyle and understand that she will need plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. Sage gets along with her foster brother however she can be unsure about other dogs so would thrive as an only dog soaking up all the love. As Sage loves her humans so much, she would need to be welcomed inside when the family is home and be involved in her new family’s life. Sage would benefit with someone that is home most of the time or works part time. Sage would be suitable for children 8 years and older as she likes to jump up. She has not been tested with cats or pocket pets. Sage’s new home will need good fencing that is 6ft tall with no small gaps. Unfortunately, rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire) is not suitable.)
For more information on Sage, please contact her foster carer Kylie on their email adoptginger@outlook.com, Sage is in foster care in North Lambton, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Sage’s adoption fee is $600 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Sage please fill out the adoption application form here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt.
You can see all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
PLEASE NOTE: When applying for our dogs and puppies, please ensure to list the name of the dog you wish to adopt. Please do NOT just list the reference number or the microchip number as this will delay your application reaching the correct foster carer.
