About Bundy ~ 7mo Husky X German Shepherd
Meet Bundy the 7 month old, tri coloured German Shepherd x Husky. Bundy is an outgoing, affectionate and loyal little companion who would make a lovely, pointy eared addition to your home.
Bundy loves to play! He jumps out of bed each day striving to meet his daily step count and some. Once he’s had a good yawn, stretch, sniff and done a few laps of the yard, he likes to check up on his favourite toys and drink all of the water, occasionally with his paws! Bundy is a sweet boy who has a good temperament and a curious nature. He loves chasing insects and sticking his nose into things. He’s friendly, got a good sense of adventure and is very happy to put his harness on and go for a walk, drive or on a daytrip.
When he’s worn out, Bundy loves a snuggle and will affectionately lay his head on your lap or plonk himself on the floor at your feet. He sleeps inside and doesn’t mind being the little spoon or resting his head on your pillow. All he wants is to be with you, with one eye on the front door and another on his foster brother.
Bundy’s favourite time of the day is dinner time when his excitement level peaks at 10/10. He isn’t a fussy eater. He loves raw food, kibble and anything that comes from the treat jar. After Bundy gobbles up his food from his slow feeder, he typically races outside with the hopes of licking his brothers bowl. Honestly, we’re not sure where he puts it all!
Bundy is lean (23kg), has a shiny Shepherd coat, a long tail with a white tip and white paws. He’s a handsome fella that’s parti eyed (one of his eyes is brown and blue) which we like to think reflects his youthful, fun loving personality. But he’s not just about the parties. Bundy has the world’s best hearing and doesn’t hesitate to assume his role of Chief Security Guard if he hears something he doesn’t like.
While Bundy sits like a champion, he’ll require obedience training to teach him basic commands and finesse his approach to walking on a lead as he’s just a beginner. While he’s pretty good, he could also work on his manners around other dogs when it comes to feeding time and sharing his favourite toys. He’s reasonably well toilet trained (drinks too much), isn’t bothered by storms and doesn’t mind a bath, which is important as he has the husky double coat. Sometimes, he gives you a glimpse of the excited teenager in him by jumping up on new people, gnawing on your fingers, rebelling by digging a hole or voicing his big dog bark. Thankfully, he has the cutest moody child grumble you’ve ever heard. Bundy has no known health or medical conditions or allergies.
Bundy’s pound days are behind him. He’s looking for his forever family who will be fun, outdoorsy and inclusive. His people will be present, welcome him into their home, invest in his training and love him as much as he loves them. Bundy has been living with a mature Husky x German Shepherd who has been a good match and big brother to him. He hasn’t been exposed to cats, other domestic pets or children. We anticipate he would fit well in a home with or without children and/or another dog, and that he’ll only improve as he settles in and begins to mature. Bundy’s yard will need to be secure, have a 6ft fence and be large enough that he can stretch his legs.
