Toby 🌞 Spoodle (adopted 17/3/22)

🐶 Toby is a very handsome Spoodle (Cocker Spaniel x Poodle) 🐶. He is 13 years old but he doesn't know it. He lives for Fetch! He will chase a ball or toy 🦴 and bring it back to you every time. He is fun-loving little man that loves to play with squeaky toys, run around the garden and play with other small dogs.

💝Toby also has an affectionate side and enjoys sitting next to you on the couch. He isn't a Velcro dog that needs to be on top of you all the time though.

Toby walks very nicely on a harness and lead. He is not suitable to be let off the lead but you can use an extra-long lead to let him explore and have a run around in open spaces. He needs to have a grassy yard to run around and chase his toys so he's not suited to apartment or villa living. He is good in the car 🚗. He isn't a nuisance barker.

Toby is very much an inside boy and needs to be welcome inside, on your furniture, and to sleep inside. He is housetrained. He is fine left at home alone inside for a few hours at a time but not all day. So, we're looking for a home where there is someone who doesn't work full-time.

Toby has a low shedding coat which needs brushing and bathing and regular clipping. He weighs around 8kgs.

Toby is very good with children but he isn't suitable to a busy household with young children. He likes small visitors though, especially if they will throw a ball for him!

Toby was very sadly surrendered to Dog Rescue Newcastle when his elderly owner became too ill to care for him.

Small dogs like Toby typically live to age 15 or 16 so he still plenty of time to enjoy his new home.

✅We are looking for a forever home for Toby where there is someone home most of the time, who will make him a big part of their lives; to love him, throw his toys, take him for a daily walk, and let him sit next to them. It would be a bonus, but not required, if you have another friendly small dog to be his companion. 🌺

Toby is in foster care in Belmont, NSW (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle). ⭐️He is only available for adoption within NSW and ACT. Toby's adoption fee is $400 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas, worms, vet checked, microchipped and registered.
