Meet Nali the social butterfly!

This beautiful girl is a very friendly and sweet dog. She enjoys meeting people of all ages but is particularly fond of those who are willing to give her some attention and pats. Nali is relatively confident out and about so enjoys accompanying her foster family on outings and adventures. She also enjoys a good bit of playtime at home and loves her toys. When all the fun of the day is over she likes nothing more than to cuddle up with her humans on the couch for some snuggle time, and more pats of course!

Nali’s friendliness extends to all the dogs she meets as well. She is playful and social with other dogs of all sizes and ages. Nali loves to interact with and meet new doggy friends and she is able to read the body language well of other dogs to know who will be up for a game wit her. This makes her a suitable dog to take to off-lead dog areas for playtime. However, she will get frustrated when she is on lead and can’t go to say hello to other dogs. Her new owners will need to work on engagement and training with her to ensure that she focuses on her handler and not distractions around her. She is a moderately active dog who will require a daily walk to keep her happy and healthy. Nali is a medium sized dog around 15kg currently with a little more growing to do.

During her time in care she has been progressing well with her general obedience. She has mastered sit, generally walks well on lead and does a nice drop (lay down). As she is still a young dog, her new family should be committed to continuing her training. Nali is still working on stay, recall off lead and how to walk calmly on lead past other dogs. She is toilet trained and has settled well into her foster home. Engagement in training activities will also provide important mental stimulation for her and allow her new owners to form a strong bond with her.

We are looking for a dog experienced family with another friendly doggie who can keep Nali company and play with her. Ideally, her family would not be out for really long hours each day to ensure that she still got all the love and attention that she deserves. Nali should be allowed to be inside the home to spend time with her family and will need a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night. She will need a home with a yard where she can play and stretch her legs with her doggy friend so no units please. Nali has not been tested with cats or pocket pets at this time but as she is super friendly she should be fine with dog savvy children.
