Spanky is a very smart and affectionate boy looking for someone he can call his Best Buddy. He is 10 months old and is still a cheeky pup who will steal anything he can find whether it is on the floor, kitchen bench or table. He loves to chew on things and will need lots of toys to keep him busy especially if he is being left at home alone. He will also need regular exercise to help him burn off his energy.

Spanky is great around our cat and is good with the kids although he can be very jumpy and may be a bit too rough for smaller children. He lives happily with his foster brother but needs to be introduced to new dogs slowly and in a very controlled manner as he can be very full on which can be intimidating for other dogs.

Spanky is becoming a very obedient boy and will do absolutely anything for food which is a great motivator during training. Spanky is an absolute delight around the house (apart for the chewing) and really just wants to be around the family, he loves to get out for walks although he turns into a crazy monster when he sees another dog. Due to this behaviour he will need ongoing and regular training to help him develop better behaviours especially when socialising with other dogs.

We have been working very hard on this skill and with daily training has shown great improvement but will need to continue this training in his new home. Spanky loves to be as close as possible to his people and has absolutely no idea about personal space especially when cuddling on the couch. He would love to find someone who will take him with them on all kinds of adventures and give him the time and support he needs to be the best dog he can be.
