Aubrey is a sweet, shy girl who loves being around her people and would love nothing better than spending time with you. Her other favourite things are food, belly rubs, zooming, chasing balls and nudging you for pats. When visiting new places and meeting new people she is a little timid, however she warms up quickly then follows you around like a shadow.
Aubrey is food motivated, responds well to her name and knows sit, stay, come, and others. She also worked out “whoops” means food on the floor and goes into vacuum cleaner mode. She loves treats, apples and peanut butter and will eat anything you give her including worming chew tablets (no tricks needed). She’s housetrained and calm indoors and she’ll plonk herself down near you when it’s time to rest. When excited or seeing you after being left alone for a while, Aubrey becomes a goofy, zooming bundle of energy, so she needs space to run in the yard and all humans to move out of the way (she’s real fast and doesn’t have an anti-skid braking system). She walks well on a lead and needs regular walks.
Aubrey enjoys chasing balls, playing tag, tug-o-war, and games she can use her nose (like a snuffle mat and hidden treats in boxes). She loves car rides and can jump into the car on her own. She doesn’t bark often and when she does it’s usually a huff. She is still learning not to jump up when she's happy. She doesn’t like loud noises or storms, so she would need a safe space to retreat when she’s alone and a high fence. She would do well in an active household with no other pets, who can be home with her for part of the day and will continue to build her confidence and independence. In return you’ll have a constant, loving companion in Aubrey.
Aubrey is $350 to adopt, desexed, microchip, C5 vaccinated and given flea tick and worm preventatives.
