NOTE: You are unable to meet Yoda until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Yoda in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.

What I need in my new home:
• LARGE BREED EXPERIENCE IS A MUST
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• I have never interacted with another dog before coming into the shelter so I can be unsure of how to behave around and with them! I am super playful with young puppies or playful dogs but adult dogs I pull towards while barking at them. I have made some friends at the shelter though and I just want to play with them, so if you have another dog who's looking for a goofy playmate then I may be the one.
• No cats, rabbits, chickens etc because I don't know how to behave around them and will constantly bark at them.
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• No young children as when I'm excited I get very bouncy and mouthy, older children who will be involved with my training should be ok.
• I have lots of energy so an active family is a must

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Small children due to being mouthy & bouncy
• No other dogs unless they are puppies until I learn how to interact nicely with them.
• Chickens/rooster or small animals as I may find them fun to chase and bark at

My best features:
• Very playful
• Wiggle butt
• Highly food motivated
• I can sit, shake hands on command
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• Social butterfly
• I LOVE toys, playing fetch and a game of tug-o-war
• I love attention, hugs, kisses & head scratches
• Love to snooze on the couch
• Exuberant & full of beans

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I will require full basic training I'm a big boy who hasn't had much training so I need to learn to calm down and be the best boy I can be
• I love my food & toys so using them as a positive reward should make my training easier.
• I can be erratic on the lead - training and regular walks in a halti or harness may stop this
