Picture this, you’re sitting comfy in your home and next to you on the lounge, purring away gently, is your beloved kitty. She’s loving and sweet, with the face of an angel when she sleeps. And she’s with you because you helped her to gain trust in you.

This is the life Gravy desperately wants, but it will take someone who understands that a love like this requires a little work at the start.

Gravy came into care as a pregnant street cat. It was a rough life, and for a young kitty it was quite terrifying. But Gravy took to foster care right away and delivered her healthy kittens safe from the dangers of the outside world.

Gravy was an excellent mumma and her lovely kittens grew up and found their own homes. Being alone again showed us a different side to this adorable grey and white girl – with her mothering duties a thing of the past, Gravy has time to focus on her life as a loved house kitty.

So, here’s what you need to know about Gravy. She is going to take time to trust you. She will need a few weeks in your home to adjust to her new life, and she will peel back the layers of her love slowly, like an onion.

But once her guard is down and she is settled in, Gravy will show you her magic. This is a kitty who will follow you from room to room, taking any opportunity to enjoy a pat, a cuddle or some smooch woochy kind words of affection.

Gravy is very playful and social once she gets to know you. You can call her and she will come running, tail held high in a wonderful greeting.

Having another cat pal in the home would help her confidence enormously but she can also be your only cat as long as you are prepared to spend the time winning her over.

Unfortunately Gravy does not like dogs of any kind and will not do well in a home with a dog. She is also very wary of loud or boisterous adults and children, so you’ll need to be able to offer her a calm home with a less active lifestyle. What she does love is fish! If you have a fish tank Gravy will watch your fish for hours and hours. She just loves it!

For all of this you will be rewarded with a cat who is affectionate, playful, funny, intelligent and a one-of-a-kind sweetheart. She loves to sleep on your bed (not the laundry or room where she is shut away at night) and do zoomies in the house to burn off some of her young cat energy.

**Please note that Gravy will be quite shy at a meet and greet and you will not see her at her best. A four-week home trial is on offer to the successful applicant to ensure this will be a good match for Gravy and her new person/people.
