Diesel - 7 Year Old Shepherd X Corgi

Ever wanted a ruggedly handsome, loving, happy and unique-looking best mate?

Meet Diesel a 7-year-old said to be a German Shepherd, Corgi, staffy mix we think but whatever he is he is quite the character.

He has a gorgeous, gentle, and loving personality. He is very loyal, sweet, friendly, affectionate, usually obedient, loves to play, have cuddles, spoon on the couch, loves pats and belly rubs, and loves his food and his family.

Diesel is really well-behaved and only plays with the toys he is given.

Despite his cute and fluffy appearance Diesel has quite a bit of energy and requires an outlet of daily walks, play (tug o war), training or a mix of all 3.

As far as the training he will sit and stay when asked, and will sit and jump in or out of the car when asked, he loves to go on road trips or adventures with you.

He loves to be near you and included in the family, so being an inside/outside dog (but mostly inside is a must).

Diesel is currently crate trained has his mattress and snuggly blankets, and wants to go in there every night. He does have some anxiety around storms and so having the crate it’s a good safe place for him to be able to go.

He does show some signs of separation anxiety (nothing crazy) but he will need a secure yard to keep him safe or inside access if you’re out and he is home alone.

Diesel does really enjoy the company of other dogs and playing with them once he has got to know them so slow introductions would be best for Diesel.

Having said that he is dog reactive on lead and will require ongoing training. In the short term he will struggle in busy dog areas for walks so would prefer quieter locations for exercise.

He is working on that with one of our trainers and has made some amazing progress.

He has also lived with cats in the home and has never had any issues but slow introductions would be best.

Don't let the photos fool you Diesel is a medium-sized dog weighing around 25kg, a good portion of it is hair though.

His new family will have to continue his training, routines, socialization and encouragement to be the best dog ever.

Diesel is in care in Newcastle NSW. His adoption fee is $300 which includes all up-to-date vet work. Diesel is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, and treated for fleas and worms.
