About Napoleon
If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion dog, Napoleon, a Labrador/Wolfhound/Mastiff mix born around 1 February 2021, is the boy for you.
You can see Wolfie genes in Napoleon's coarse coat and Labrador, and perhaps a dollop of Mastiff, in his large and beautiful head. As at end of February 2022, he weighed 31.7 kgs and will probably grow a little more.
This very sweet-tempered boy settled into his foster home within 24 hours. Although quite timid at first, by the morning of the second day he was as happy as Larry and bouncing around like a puppy. At one point, in a show of absolute delight, he grabbed his empty food bowl and tossed it in the air, much to the amusement of his foster mum.
Napoleon loves the security of human company and has quickly become accustomed to being an inside-outside dog. He sleeps inside at night and rarely leaves his foster mum’s side during the day. She says she has been humming "Me and My Shadow" since he arrived.
Napoleon hasn't show any interest in other dogs and prefers to ignore them, even the barking ones that live next door. He is untested with cats.
Preference will be given to homes where someone is around most of the time. As always, good fencing is essential.
His adoption fee is $650 and he has just been desexed, microchipped and vaccinated.
If you are interested in meeting Napoleon, please complete the online application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Kindly ensure that you include photos of your yard and fencing.
