About Rambo -Desexed and Vaccinated
Rambo and stafford were surrendered due to a rental situation. Rambo is a rex, with a coat that feels like velvet. They have been well loved all their lives, and are two very well adjusted bunnies. They've been through many accomodations and adapt well to each, whether as apartment pets, living on balconies, or free-ranging in the garden. They've also grown up with young children, so are used to loud noises. Rambo has a condition called head tilt, that occured 3-4 months ago. This results in him being a bit lop-sided. He still gets around fine, however has very little balance when disorentated and needs a low stress home where he can bump into soft furniture. These boys must go to a new home together, as they are very much bonded. Update: because of a nasty phone call received recently stating rambo should be euthanaised and disagreeing with the decision to rehome rambo, we'd like to point out that he has seen two independent veterinarians, one of whom is a rabbit specialist. Neither thought rambo was beyond help, neither suggested euthanasia. We also have experience with wry neck/head tilt, and by no means is it a death sentence as bunnies can continue living very normal lives. Yes, rambo does look different from other bunnies out there, but he navigates fine and is not hopping around in circles; he cleans himself, eats well, and keeps up with his healthy partner stafford. There is no indication that his quality of life is suffering, and we will continue to search for his special new home. People offended by his appearance need not look at his profile. If you would like to meet/adopt/enquire about stafford and rambo, please fill in an adoption form at our website: www. Porschesrescue. Com
Medical notes
Rambo - head tilt
Vaccinated -please note that due to the release of calici virus on march the 1st, 2010, all bunnies adopted from us will be vaccinated. Please allow for an increase in the adoption fee to cover this large expense. Desexing normally costs anywhere from $100-$360. Vaccinations are from $40-80 (costs differ between vet clinics). Therefore please don't try to haggle the price of the animal for adoption. If you can't afford the adoption fee, you certainly wont afford the ongoing costs associated with animals
