About Sargeant
Time has come for Sargeant to start sniffing out a home to meet his needs.
Sargeant is a German Shorthair Pointer x Greyhound who is highly intelligent and active. As you can see he is also an avid gardener!
Sargeant will need a home where he has people around a fair bit and they are dedicated to exercising his body and mind. Sargeant would be best matched to a home with another active and social dog that is also tolerant.
Sargeant is quite a tall, lean and vocal fellow that just demands attention. He has a quirky nature that will keep his new owners entertained but also puzzled with some of the things he comes up with.
Sargeant has an odd bark and we suspect he has sustained a voice box injury at some stage. He certainly knows how to use his bark to get attention so he would be best in a semi rural home and not in a apartment or townhouse arrangement where neighbours are very close.
Sargeant goes to his new home flea and worm treated, vaccinated, microchipped and desexed. His adoption fee is $800.

Adoption details
We like to take the personal approach where a person sends an email of interest around an animal and then we will follow up with phone discussions and email exploration through a survey.
Please note we are a small group of volunteers that balances the administrative side with the care of the animals.
Please only apply for one of our animals if you are genuinely interested in them.
We expect the prospective owner to travel to meet the animal and we are open to trial periods to ensure we have the match right.
