About Bella 3
Bella is a very sweet little girl who would match perfectly with someone who is craving a little creature to love. She came to her current family 18 months ago after being rescued from a puppy farm by the RSPCA. A younger dog from the same farm was placed with her, but the younger one has become increasingly more competitive with her for their owner’s attention, which is negatively affecting both dogs’ individual needs.
Bella’s earlier neglect caused irreparable damage to one of her eyes, and it was removed before she was placed. She lost sight in her other eye a short while later, but she suffers no pain and manages to navigate familiar areas very well.
She walks for up to an hour every day on an extender lead but she would be quite happy to be carried part of the way and wouldn’t complain if the walks were a little bit shorter as long as she got a decent walk every day. Bella also enjoys outings in the car.
Bella will need access inside of the home at all times. Like most dogs she sleeps quite a lot, and like Goldilocks she will sometimes wander from one to another of her four dog beds until she finds the one that feels just right. At night she usually chooses to sleep in a canvas dog pen in the bedroom.
At night (and at any other opportunity) she likes a lap to sit in, or to be cuddled, and will often ask to be lifted onto the lounge and usually waits to be lifted down by venturing to the edge. To be safe though the floor below is cushioned with a variety of soft fall pillows and beds so her new family will need to make adjustments to their home to make her life more comfortable with her.
Apart from her eyesight, Bella’s health has improved dramatically and she has become very accustomed to having a fairly constant company with her current human so a home where there is someone home more often than not is best for Bella.
Bella also expects a certain amount of luxury and comfort in her life, including being fed meals that are prepared with her needs in mind (chicken/ beef, with veggies are her favourite) and as close to the same time every day as possible. She sometimes cries like a baby if her food is late:) She is for the most part house trained but she needs to have access to a designated area to avoid any accidents.
Bella will require grooming every 8 weeks by a professional groomer to keep her coat in tip-top condition
If you would like to meet Bella please don't forget to send us an email with the information requested at the start of this profile so we can see if you and Bella are a good match.
Medical notes
