Profile and needs in a home

Humphrey is a gorgeous 28kg Standard Poodle love bug who just wants to hang out with his humans! He is approximatley 4 years old, extremely smart, active and very responsive to direction, and totally adorable!

He has been very much loved in his previous home and is a joy to be around!

His favourite things are big cuddles, interaction and playing games, visitors, exploring and ‘helping’ in the garden, meeting, playing and running with other dogs in the off-leash park, going for drives, sitting outside cafes getting loved by everyone, snoozing on the couch, watching dog shows on tv, and food! Humphrey has stated that these adventures must continue in his new home:)

Humphrey must have access inside at all times and sleep inside in a warm area of the home of a nighttime. Humphrey would prefer the bedroom:)

He is housetrained and can be safely left in the house. His love of food means he does like to counter surf so all food needs to be put away!

Most of all he likes to be with his human/s. He doesn't like to be left alone and will initially bark and cry before settling and curling up on his bed.

Humphrey would like to be an only dog where he can soak up all the love! He gets on well with other dogs but can get a bit boisterous when playing with other dogs in the home environment

Preference will be given to adopters with previous experience with Standard Poodles and the high maintenance of this breed coat which willl need regular brushing and trips to the groomer every 6-8 weeks (costs approx $100 per groom). This is non-negotiable with a standard poodle! Humphrey has had a recent groom a few weeks ago as you will see in the photos

He will benefit from a bit more training on his leash walking and recall skills so his new home must be prepared to continue his training in this regard.

Humphrey would like a new home that will meet all of his criteria:).
