About Sir Henry
Hey There! I'm Sir Henry, and its a pleasure to meet you!
I'm on the lookout for my new forever home, after I was surrendered to an interstate pound.
I then made the big journey to Melbourne, to be with my current foster carer, only to pick up cat flu on the way!! What a journey indeed!
Well, I'm completed fine now thankfully, but unfortunately, I did get an ulcerated eye from gunk build up, and me trying to scratch my eye when I wasnt well. I nearly had to have my eye removed, but thankfully, thanks to the lovely team at Fin, Furred N Feathered, along with one of their AMAZING vets, they did a fancy surgery to my eye, to close the eye-lid for a few weeks, and let it heal. And boy did it do the trick! Apart from a little scar on my eye that only the vet can see, and some hazyness for now, that will disappear in time, my eye is COMPLETELY fine!! I can still use it to spy out the window!
One of my favourite things to do, is staring out the window, and spying on the neighbour's and foster dogs, and watching all the birds play in the front garden, which love to tease me! I would love a home that has a nice sunny window, with a nice garden to look out in to! I'm not a good outside cat, so would need to go to a home as an indoor only cat. But I still love me a nice sunny window! I also love to sit on tables and benches, which my foster mumma has been trying to teach me not to, but I win every time. She cant watch me 24/7!
I get along great with cats and dogs, provided they aren't trying to annoy me. Probably shouldnt go to a home with small birds, because the naughty little ones outside have been teasing me, and given the chance, I may get revenge! Big birds and rabbits I am fine with though!
If you are interested in meeting with me, please feel free to fill out an adoption application, so we can organise a time to meet!
Love Sir Henry xx
Medical notes
Had cat flu when first came in to our care, and suffered an ulcerated left eye due to it. Had a third eyelid flap surgery to let the eye heal, which it has now. Is a little glassy at the moment, but that will get better in time, and there is a little scar, but has healed, and wont cause any ongoing problems. Still has complete use of the eye.
Adoption details
If interested in an animal that is available for adoption, we require you to fill out an adoption application, and one of our lovely foster carers will give you a call to organise a time for a meet and greet. Depending on the requirements of the animal, a house/property inspection may be required. It is a requirement that any dogs being adopted into a pre-existing dog home, will need to have a meet and greet with the dogs, to ensure they are a good match.
If approved for adoption, a mutually convenient time will be arranged, to complete the adoption paperwork. A trial adoption can be offered under certain circumstances if required, but will not be an option for every animal. It is at the discretion of Fin, Furred N Feathered, if this is an option. If you would like a trial adoption of 2 weeks, please speak to us! The adoption fee will need to be paid in full, before a trial adoption can take place.
If not approved for adoption, we are more than happy to have a chat with you, why you were not successful for that animal, to see if we can help you find your perfect family member!
**Please note: As we are very busy people, working full time jobs, and taking care of all our lovely animals (our most important and rewarding job!!), we require all interested people fill out an application, rather than send an enquiry, as this helps us know more about you and what you are after, and saves us all a lot of time!
ONLY FILL OUT AN APPLICATION IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT ADOPTING.
