About Boof
Hey there, Boof here. I know... not an awe inspiring name, but it's the only one I've got, and it says absolutely nothing about my level of intelligence. In fact, I'm quite the bright boy! Names aside, I'm a sweet, shy, sensitive young man who can be worried in new environments and meeting new people and easily startled by loud noises (Just call me a SNAG - sensitive new age guy). I'll thrive in a calm home with with structure and routine to help me settle and feel secure. I'd like to be allowed indoors to be part of the family. I'll bond best if I get to spend as much time around the family as possible. It's recommended that I have crate/mat training to provide me with a safe place to retreat to when feeling worried and overwhelmed. Once I'm more confident I'm less likely to become overly excited and jumpy: 4 Paws training would be ideal. If you have teens (not tweenies) in the home, we'll need to meet at time of adoption. Same can be said for any pooches you may already have. A calm social female would make an ideal companion. I'm very social and playful but do become a little over-excited at times. I'm a bit of resource guarder (meaning, I love my food but I'm not into shared plates) so feeing me separately is a must.
