Hi, I’m Jettie and I’d like to tell you a little bit about myself. I was very skinny and not in good shape when the kind people at SAFE took me in. But now I live in a great foster home with my foster mum, dad and two human siblings. They are only little – 2 & 6 – but I am ever so gentle with them.

I also live with my foster dog brother – who is quite a bit bigger than me. But I’ve already put on weight since I’ve been here, so it won’t be long before I catch up to him in size! I love my dog brother so much: we sleep together and play lots. Just sometimes I can get a bit excitable, and the play turns a bit rough. But all good – we’re still great friends. I’ve only been in my foster home for a week, so everything is still very new to me.

I overheard my mum telling someone recently that I was “just a bundle of joy and who love cuddles and kisses” and boy, isn’t that the case!!! I’m also a quick learner and don’t even need treats as a reward. A nice pat and some kind words are enough encouragement for me. Not that I’d say no to a treat though as I do like my food … 😊 I already walk well on the lead and my recall is pretty good as I never go too far away when we’re out and about. I’ve also got this thing called “house training” down pat. My mum says I travel very well in the car so if my new family can take me out and about on adventures that would be super!

One of my great loves is the water – I love it all different ways including when it comes from the hose or even my water bowl. My other favourite games include fetch as well as tug of war which my dog brother and I love playing together.
