About Bronson
Profile and needs in a home
Bronson (or Bronson Pickles) is the Keanu Reeves of the dog world.
At just seven months old, he has looks to kill and a goofball personality no-one can resist.
At 26kg this Beagle cross Bull Arab is looking for a 'totally excellent' forever home.
Ideally, Bronson would like:
Bronson will also need a reasonable size secure backyard to play games and another young, friendly, stable doggo playpal to race and wrestle and chillax with afterwards. He is partial to Boxer, Labrador and Staffy breeds but any playful, stable medium/large sized doggo would be ok. He also plays quite gently with smaller dogs in the dog park.
Active people who will include him in their lives. His foster carers have been giving Bronson lots of new experiences whilst he has been in their care. He is cautious with new experiences to start with but soon gets on board. He loves getting out and about to the beach, bush walks, camping and the local dog park where he loves to romp and play with dogs of all sizes and at least two walks a day.
Bronson is still very much a big goofy pupstar so will need a home that can set some boundaries, and continue to work with him to ensure that he continues to grow into the superstar doggo that we know he can be and must be prepared for some puppy antics.
Bronson is used to being inside with his family so must have access inside and outside at all times and be permitted to sleep inside in a warm area of the home. He is able to spend some time outside if you are going out for a few hours and have a covered area to shelter him from the elements. As you can see by the photos Bronson considers himself a bit of a couch potato so a home where he is permitted on the couch is the best fit for Bronson.
Bronson's foster carer does work from home so a home where Bronson is not left alone for long periods would be best at this stage for Bronson
Bronson will reward you with:
Plenty of admiration from other doggo lovers.
Cuddles and kisses.
Trying his best to please.
Great company when you're working from home.
So far in his training Bronson can:
Walk well on a lead. No pulling, sits on command and plays well with other dogs of all sizes
Stay home alone for a few hours without barking the neighbourhood down or destroying your yard. Obviously, his new owner will have to set him up to succeed with this by giving him plenty of exercise and mental enrichment before leaving Bronson.
Travels well in a car. Have we mentioned that He LOVES going on an adventure!
He's good with kids, but given his size and tenancy to jump, kids age 12 and up is probably best.
He needs to work on:
Recall. His carers have been working on this and he has improved however they sometimes wonder if his name is really Bronson particularly when he sees another dog he wants to say hi to at the beach:) He never strays far away from you though.
Jumping. He gets very excited to meet new people, but this is also improving every day.
House training. He's pretty good but has had a couple of accidents.
Dog reactive, he gets a bit excited when he sees other dogs. This is getting better and he will sit and wait while they pass by.
Food. He's a picky eater and his carers have had to experiment to find something he likes.
This pup is a very special guy and he really deserves the best home If his foster family were in a position to make him a foster fail they absolutely would.
If you would like to meet Bronson please sends us as much information as possible on the home you can provide including your other doggo, exercise, mental stimulation and adventures you can provide, family members and hours away from home etc
Medical notes
As Bronson will be medium/large in size he will be desexed in one or two more months when he has matured a bit more. The cost of his desexing is included in his adoption fee and this will be done at our rescue vets at Beverly Hills in Sydney
