You wanna know what I like? Cuddles on my terms. Playing with lots of diff toys (especially tunnels and balls – I can do that for hours on end til I’m pooped!) Sleeping under covers – especially your doona (so warm and inviting!). Hanging out and running around when you’re gardening (yes I will mess up that pile of leaves you just raked up – sorry, not sorry). You ok with all this so far? So here’s what I don’t like. Too much patting. When I’ve had enough I’ve had enough. I’ll let you know when time’s up for sure. If I get a bit spicy about it, don’t take it the wrong way, purrrrleeeze. Also don’t like being cradled on my back. Any pushy felines (hmmmpffffhhhff!). And scary vet visits. Eeeeeeeeekkkkk! I’m pretty scared of doggos, except the small, quiet ones are alright. I guess. Show me a treat and I’ll come galloping and I’m allllllways so happy to see you when you get home at night. I’m just a gorgeous girl with plenty of affection to give. Are you ready for me? MJ is a healthy cat who prefers Hills Oral Care food, along with raw kangaroo. Preferred litter is crystals or clay/clumping. She has been wormed, flea treated, vaccinated, desexed and microchipped (microchip #953010002755329, source #RE101165). She is available for adoption right now!

We are run by volunteers. We check enquiries three times a day and try to respond within 24 hours. If you want us to follow up, you can text the Cat Phone on 0415-241-211.
To adopt from us you'll be required to have minimum an online meet & greet, a remote house check, show photo ID & proof of address, and fill out & sign an adoption contract.
Our animals are fully vet checked, flea treated, wormed, vaccinated and desexed before being advertised. They are evaluated for behavioural traits, fed a high-quality diet, and any known issues are communicated. NOT NEGOTIABLE CONDITIONS: indoor only/restrained to property & must be fed raw or vet prescription wet food.
We will communicate through every step of the process to ensure that the experience is excellent and your feline companion is the right fit. Read the contract for T&Cs for returns.
You must have residency in Australia to adopt from Cat People of Melbourne. If you are visiting or on a visa, talk to us about fostering instead!
