About Harrison
*harrison is currently trialling his new home* harrison is looking for his own ‘happily-ever-after’ after being found one sunday morning terrified and alone at a toilet block on the road between euston and mildura. After coaxing harrison into his car the good samaritan then travelled on to mildura where he googled ‘rescued groups’ and that’s how harrison ended up safe with sarg. On the monday he was checked over by our vets who discovered he had an irritating problem where his eyelashes turned in and were constantly rubbing against his eyes so he would require an operation. . . . . An article with photos of harrison was run in our local paper and although his owner didn’t come forward to claim him we did get some wonderful donations from some kind mildura folk which would be used for his eye operation. In the meantime harrison was happy in care with a couple of cocker spaniels and he was slowly coming out of his shell with people but still very scared though once he had his eye op he was like a new pup with lots of energy, wanting to play and feeling much more confident – his eyes must’ve been causing him a great amount of pain poor boy. . . . . Harrison is terrific with other dogs and great with children and has come along in leaps and bounds when meeting new adults too. He’s a snuggly, cuddly dog who enjoys playing with his toys and especially playing with other dogs- he recently had a 2 hour ‘play-date’ with a 7 month old border collie and they ran themselves ragged!! while in care harrison has learnt how to walk on a lead though still gets a little freaked by lots of traffic and he is also learning the basic commands such as “sit” and “down”. Harrison would benefit from ongoing obedience training so he learns new things and gets used to different situations as well as enjoying the socialisation with other dogs. Harrison would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with another playful doggie friend for company and to make him feel more secure plus daily walks, a safe yard and bones and toys to keep him stimulated would make him a very happy boy indeed!
if you think you can give harrison the ‘happily-ever-after’ he so deserves then please contact sarg for an application now!!
