Rhys and Pecan ❤❤

Meet Rhys(DOB: 1-1-21) and Pecan, domestic shorthair best friends. Rhys is a mackerel tabby and Pecan is a classic tabby with white markings, enormous feet and pink beans! The two best buddies met in foster care, became inseparable and are now looking for a home together where they can continue hanging out, chasing each other and wrestling. Rhys is a beautiful magical tiger cat and a TikTok celebrity in the making! He is a clever boy and very food motivated which makes training easy. If you reward him with ‘yum yums’ (Dine treats), he will respond to five commands - sit, up (beg), jump, down and spin! Rhys has been harness trained and is ready to start leash training if his forever family want to take him on safe outside adventures! He would thrive in a home where someone has the time and interest to interact and engage with him through training and play.

Rhys is a smoochie boy when he is in the mood; he does not like being picked up but he will approach you and rub against your legs if he wants a pat and has the potential to become an affectionate lap cat once he settles in with his forever family. He is very kind to all the other foster cats and kittens that come and go – we have never seen him hiss or swipe at any of them, even the small annoying ones! Rhys likes to do laps of the house – we call it his “workplace health and safety round” – where he walks around each room and checks on everyone (all the other foster kittens and cats) and sniffs everything, maintaining high standards throughout the premises!

Pecan is a gentle, sociable and chatty boy. He has a lot to say and sometimes wanders about just chatting cutely to himself! He is very welcoming, often responds to questions and always lets his humans know with big meows when he deems it to be time for breakfast or dinner (which he likes to watch you prepare and then he will eat with vigour!). Pecan was a 100% mummy’s boy when growing up, however with the help of Rhys’s confidence, he has turned his affection to Rhys and his humans and he is now a beautiful purr monster who absolutely loves company and a pat. Being a young boy, he also loves to play. His current favourites are wand toys and laser toys and he is so cute to play with - Pecan would definitely not survive in the wild with his adorably goofy ‘hunting’ skills! Pecan will thrive in a home where someone has time to give him the pats and cuddles and chats that he so loves.

Rhys and Pecan are looking for a relaxed home with a loving family with children over 8yrs old. They are happy with each other’s company if their humans need to go to work/school as they tend to spend the day sleeping and looking out the window (after their breakfast zoomies!). Both like wet food twice a day and a constant supply of dry food (they have tried many different brands and will eat them all). These two show great potential of becoming smoochie lap cats once they find their forever family! They are good with other cats and kittens and can happily coexist with a feline-friendly dog (exposed to small dogs).
