About Tux ~ Terrier X Puppy
Little TUX is a 4 month wired hair terrier mix. He has as much energy as a classroom of kindy kids on sherbet sticks !
Please READ his requirements carefully as responses will not be given to those that have disregarded his needs.
Tux is a puppy and needs puppy attention. He will need constant direction/ training. He will wee in excitement and needs to be taken outside to help toilet train. Commitment is a must!
Tuxi's new yard must be 100% puppy proof, no low fences (he has springs for legs), have another active small to medium size dog for company. He is NOT suited to homes with senior dogs as his energy is too much and it won't be fair.
Older children are best as Tux, although very friendly IS breakable! He will wriggle out of arms and will take any food out of a childs hand and vanish quicker than David Copperfield.
Tux does shed fur so please do not apply if this is an issue for you.
As he is not yet desexed, Tux is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Hunter Valley, Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens as he'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when approximately 5-6 months old.
To present your expression of interest, please email adoptmefromkelly@hotmail.com with information regarding your experience and puppy plan. We will only consider homes who have comprehensively discussed bringing a new puppy into their homes, and who fully understand the breed and their requirements.
Tux is located in the Newcastle Region NSW, and is not available for interstate or out of area adoption at this time. You can also fill out the adoption questionnaire here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
PLEASE NOTE: When applying for our dogs and puppies, please ensure to list the name of the dog you wish to adopt. Please do NOT just list the reference number or the microchip number as this will delay your application reaching the correct foster carer.
Tuxs' adoption fee is $800 which includes desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and treatment for fleas and worms.
Medical notes
As he is not yet desexed, Tux is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Hunter Valley, Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens as he'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when approximately 5-6 months old.
