About Chance
Introducing Chance!
Chance came to us as a stray and was then surrendered by his owner as she couldn’t keep him anymore. Chance was very scared on arrival and would shake and tremble when you went near him. Now he gets excited to see people that he knows and even willingly approaches new people when he is out and about.
Chance lived with another dog but he grew up with her from a young age and didn’t meet many other dogs in his life so he is learning how to be around them. At the moment he can walk at a distance of about 1.5-2 metres away from a dog with no issues, which has decreased significantly since his arrival in our care. Ongoing training and socialisation will be essential for this beautiful boy in his new home, not just with other dogs but with humans and new areas.
Being a short haired dog Chance doesn’t need much grooming, however we are currently treating him for a skin condition which has left some sores on his face and head. This could potentially be an ongoing issue which his new owners will need to keep on top of. Chance can be a bit wary of handling still and is quite fidgety and unsure when we put cream on his head, but he is improving every day.
Chance isn’t keen on being on his own, so will need an owner who is home a lot so he isn’t left alone for long periods of time. He will need secure fencing as he is a strong boy and if there is a weak spot you can be sure he’ll find it.
Chance needs someone who will give him a second chance in life and show him the love and care he so desperately desires and deserves. Could you be that chance?
Chance is located in East Maitland.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272 to make an appointment and ask further questions.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the foster carers home or at a convenient location.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
