NOTE: You are unable to meet Millie until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Millie in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.

What I need in my new home:
• BREED KNOWLEDGE IS PREFERRED
• I am a typical beagle who follows my nose everywhere so I wouldn't be able to be let off lead.
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• I MUST be allowed inside with my family (especially when there are storms or fireworks)
• A cat may be ok with a slow introduction.
• I like both friendly male and female dogs but I don't interact with them much so im happy to have a playmate who just wants to keep me company but isn't too playful.
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car

My best features:
• Very playful
• Wiggle butt
• Gentle & placid
• I can sit
• I am a generally well-mannered dog
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• I walk well on lead although I follow my nose
• Happy to be around other dogs
• Im happy to live with kids
• Social butterfly
• I love toys.
• I am VERY scent driven (due to my breed) and would excel at scent driven games & training.

Where I need to improve / Training required.
• I am scared of thunder & fireworks and will bark & whine. I will require a safe space to retreat to during these events as well as comfort and reassurance from my family.
