About Cosmo
Hello! My name is Cosmo and I'm a confident, friendly & cuddly boy that is looking for his forever home
I am the biggest smoocher and love to be held by my humans, purring constantly to show them how much I love them. My foster mum always says how much my fur feels like silk so I'm nice and soft to cuddle. I'm a people’s cat and absolutely adore any humans. I'm a little shadow and never want to be left out of an adventure so I'm always sitting close by.
Bit of background on me and my family. My mum was a stray who was found scavenging for food at a tip while pregnant. She was brought into the rescue and that same day she gave birth to me and my 5 siblings! Me, my mum, and my siblings all lived together in foster care and most of my siblings have found their forever homes, yippee.
I would be great in a home with other younger cats and small children as I am very playful and a great snuggler. I have lived with a 4yr old tiny human who was very loud and sometimes unintentionally rough but we got along really well and I just loved all the cuddles I got from the tiny human! A dog has visited our house and I wasn’t scared but I sat up high and watched him from a distance. With the right introduction I'm sure we'd get along great. Indoor only home though please, so I can be kept safe and sound. I do enjoy looking out at birds and other wildlife so I love my bed by the window. I'm also completely litter trained with no problems there.
I recently moved to stay with two other foster cats and they don’t like me much. They’re older, but a bit smaller than me, and I keep trying to make friends but they seem to be scared of me and don’t want to play. (I don’t mind too much as my foster mum spends time with me in her office during the day and at night I’m allowed to sleep on her bed!)
I'm really hoping to find my forever home and leave these mean girls behind soon! So if you think your home would be perfect please put in an enquiry so we can meet each other and my foster mum can answer any of your questions.

Welcome to Small Paws Animal Rescue QLD.
We aim to place each of our animals with the best family possible.
Our adoption process may seem a little complex, we ask a lot of questions. But there are reasons for this.
1. Our animals in care are like our children.
2. We want to match the best humans with the animals to ensure you are happy and our animals are happy.
3. We don't want animals to come back to us. We want their family to be forever.
So our adoption process begins with an application being completed.
Once we receive the application we will assess it on face value of the answers you have provided.
Once we can determine if you sound like a good fit, we will call you to chat a bit further.
This is when we will schedule a meet and greet with your potential new family member/s.
We may need you to have more than one meet, especially if you have other pet/s that need to be introduced or children and other human family members.
We will confer with our foster carer, and advise you as soon as possible if you were successful in your meet and greet.
Once we have confirmed your success, we will arrange for the paperwork to be completed including the adoption payment.
We allow our foster carers time to say goodbye to their foster babies, it can be hard for some to give them to their new homes and we recognise all the hard work and dedication they have put in to ensure that your new family member has been safe and is ready to go to their forever home.
We will keep in contact with you for 2 weeks during a "trial" adoption period. There are terms and conditions to be met and we will advise you of these.
Once the trial period has ended we will send you the paperwork for your new family member.
At any time after this - if you need assistance you can always contact us.
