About Carrot
Carrot is ready to charm his way into your heart! This 1 year old guy wears his heart on his sleeve. He is super sweet and loves to be next to you all of the time. If you are relaxing at home, he will come on over, plop down on you and your heart just melts from the cuteness!
Carrot had a rough start to his life with some medical concerns. He had Toxoplasmosis and fought really hard to overcome it at such a young age. He was able to kick the infection and has since been living it up in foster care!
He is very, very playful! He definitely needs another kitty friend so they can keep each other busy if no one is home. He has been working on his climbing and jumping skills so a larger space will suit him best so he can continue to refine his skills. He really enjoys being outside so he would love it if you have a nice outdoor space for him to explore in.
Carrot is VERY friendly to other cats! He absolutely adores one of the resident cats - he hugs her, cuddles up to her and grooms her all of the time. However, we do think he would be best with only one other feline friend. He is like a teenager, young and in love: he can get very jealous, very quickly. At his foster home there's a bit of a love triangle going on between the kitties, and well, you know the drama that follows that!
He hasn't met any kids or dogs, but he is such a friendly boy that we think he could warm up to them after some time!
Carrot can definitely be a sensitive guy and can be skittish at times. He is easily startled by loud noises and sudden movements. He would do well in a calmer household that is willing to be quite engaging. If he doesn't get enough attention, don't worry - he will meow at you for your attention. He just requests that you don't pick him up - he prefers to climb and put on a show, so when someone picks him up, he thinks of it as cheating!
With a sensitive demeanour comes a sensitive tummy! Overcoming Toxo left Carrot with a very sensitive gut and he requires prescription food to keep him happy and healthy.
Carrot comes fully vet-worked, desexed, and microchipped!
