About Bluebell
Hi there, my name is Bluebell and I am settling into regular home life really well. My foster human tells me I am kind, playful and have an affectionate nature. I have had a rough start to life and some things I haven't experienced so don't know some stuff, but my foster human is so proud of how good and quick I am at learning. They believe I am really smart and beautiful and great company.
So here is a bit about me. I am a happy girl with a big smile and a wiggle bottom and a wagging tail cos I am so happy to be with you. At 35 kilos I am a strong and powerful pup, so ideally would best be suited to a house and yard with enough space to turn around without knocking my happy wagging tail. I would love to run around the garden on the grass with you and play ball. My favourite toy is an old towel tied in knots with treats hidden inside the knots.
You likely have lots of questions, so this list might help with your decision.
I am not frightened by stormy weather, thunder or lightning, the lawn mower or the vacuum cleaner, but I'm startled by the sudden screeching roaring sound of the motorbike zooming past.
Yes I am toilet trained.
I love to sniff flowers and not dig up the flowers in the garden bed, but would appreciate some space for me to bury my bones, as they taste better with some soil on them.
I know to eat my own food in my own feeding spot. I will sit and wait for my food and not eat till I get the cue from you.
I sleep on my bed in the garage at night. I'm not bothered by the night wildlife and don't bark at night.
When I am left at home alone, my foster mum leaves treats scattered in the yard and hides a bone, this keeps me very occupied and happy. I get very excited when you come home, so my foster mum has been teaching me not to jump.
Because of my size likely I would be better suited to bigger humans, than very small humans who might not understand me.
I love your company and will sit with you and just want to hang out with you. but there are a couple of things I require ongoing support with. I am learning not to be reactive and triggered when humans and dogs that I don't know walk up and down the street. I am going pretty good with this and I remember not to bark at the local people and I get a treat for this. I am all good with my doggy neighbours as I have gotten used to them. A home with no front yard access would be best.
I need a hope with teens and adults only
Also, I'm learning to walk on a lead and not to pull, so I ask for your patience, time and commitment to teach me this, and we can go out on great walks and have a loving and rewarding life together.
Signing off now from Bluebell and I can't wait to give my furever family all my unconditional love, loyalty, beautiful personality and many happy years.
