About Olive
** UNDERLYING HEALTH ISSUES**
Miss Olive came into care with her mum and 3 siblings. They were found under an old house which had asbestos.
Another one of her siblings has the same health issues but is slightly worse. Both girls had pneumonia when they came in and were placed on a few courses of anti-biotics. Olive has finally cleared up from pneumonia. However mainly at night and cooler weather her breathing becomes quite noisy, sounding like asthma. Her lungs and chest seem to be clear. The noise is coming from her upper respiratory area. She has also had a course of prednisone.
We have had our vets run various tests on both girls with no definite answers coming back. We will be happy for our vet to provide health records to your vet upon adoption.
It has come down to these girls will most likely have this condition for life and we are unsure how long that may be. Could be asbestos poisoning, could be something congenital we just don’t know.
Ok so now for her bio……
This will have to be one of the hardest bios I have written. Everything is telling me to say she is a VERY naughty kitten, is NASTY…. However, that would only be so she would not be adopted.
Truth, is I LOVE this little girl so much, and I would LOVE to foster fail. However, I feel that she needs to share her love with another family.
Miss Olive is like my shadow I wrote the below after she had followed me from the bathroom to the kitchen in the early hours of the morning
I will follow you day and night
I will follow you to the bathroom to make sure you are alright
I will follow you to the kitchen while you grab a bite
I will follow you to the lounge room to watch tv and snuggle tight
I will follow you to the bedroom to sleep all night
I would love this special girl to go to a home with another cat furkid. She really enjoys running around the house and wresting with my own two furbabies, plus plays chasings with one of my small dogs.
She will come to her name and will snuggle either next to or on top of you in bed.
I ask that she be kept as indoor only, or that a catio be available for her to enjoy the outside. I would hate for anything to happen to her if allowed outdoors.
She has totally stolen a piece of my heart.
If you feel that you could love this special little girl, please send me a message and I will email you an enquiry form.
I am however going to be a little extra fussy with this application.
