About Ghost
SPECIAL NEEDS: Ghost is deaf.
Hey there! My name is Ghost and I’m looking for my new fur-amily! I might have a spooky name, but I promise my personality isn’t too frightening. I’ve just hit 8 months old so I’m still a baby despite how big I am (and can you believe I’m still growing!!). I’m a typical goofy pup who loves a game and will do anything for a cuddle, but one of my biggest challenges is I’m actually deaf!
In foster care I’m trying to earn my “good boy” certificate but it’s a bit difficult when I can’t hear any commands, and I have so much puppy energy flowing through me trying to convince me to be cheeky. I’m also a bit of a sook and while I’m trying to build independence I do struggle with separation anxiety. I’m definitely a people dog, I want to be with you all the time and I’d love a soft spot on your sofa. I know due to my size you might think I’m an outdoor dog, but my soft pink nose requires limited sun exposure and I really prefer being inside.
Since I’m a special guy my new fur-amily will need to be special too! I will require a lot of patience and training, so I need a fur-amily that is willing to learn with me. I also need persistence and a way to channel my puppy energy into something like training or a nice long walk. I’m also a bit clumsy due to these silly long limbs that I’m trying to grow in to, so while I don’t mean to play rough sometimes I just forget my own size! Due to this I don’t think smaller animals or cats are a good fit for fur-iends for me. I am okay with other big dogs in controlled settings, and need slow introductions and supervision as when I’m left to use my big puppy brain I can be a little unsocial. Due to this I’d prefer to be the king of my castle and not be rehomed with other animals. I’d also prefer a fur-amily with older kids only as younger kids can’t handle my big puppy play.
I might be a bit of a difficult guy, but I promise with the right family I’ll be your new best fur-iend in no time!
So please don’t ghost me, apply now to bring me home!!
