Amelia Jane

Gorgeous little English Staffy Amelia Jane is now seeking her forever home

She is 4 years and 9 months and with a weight of 21 kilos a perfect size English with a beautiful temperament to match

Amelia Jane (milly) is a very well-behaved, affectionate lady. She loves showing how much she cares by greeting you with a big smile and Waggy tail. One of her absolute favorite things is a good snuggle and scratch under her chin.

OBEDIENCE

Amelia Jane can sit when told and comes when she's called. She loves running in the yard with us and playing chasey with the kids. We take her out for walks for general outdoor enrichment, they don’t need to be long walks, just enough to take in the world. Amelia Jane is cautious of other dogs and doesn't really enjoy the socialization side with them when out and about. She enjoys spending time with her foster fur brother and kids playing or just hanging around the backyard, any human interaction is great. She will need enrichment and we found that antlers are her favorite to chew on when hanging around the home. ENRICHMENT

Amelia Jane rarely barks. She is a typical needy staffy who loves human interaction and company. She needs to know that you're there. She is definitely an access dog to all areas. Coming in and out as she pleases. She loves short daily walks.

Amelia Jane loves a splash pool so having one of these for warm days is her favorite thing

SLEEPING

She sleeps well at night. Through the day she likes to be wherever we are relaxing by our feet. She can bed hop but mostly snuggles up with one of the kids in their beds. She really enjoys the company of children

SOCIALIZATION

Amelia Jane has been in care with another dog but was extremely cautious at first.We feel based on the time she has been with us that even though she has warmed to him that she would really prefer to be an only child She has been with three older children and two adults. She has shown playful cheeky affection to all of us and is happy to sit or follow us around. She would best be suited to a family who has children ages 5 and older

We have not introduced her to a cat so will not be adopted her to a cat home

Amelia Jane has a full dental completed

FOOD

Amelia is on Ivory coat dry food and is more of a grazer for meals

HYGIENE

Amelia Jane will need easy access to outside for toileting to avoid accidents inside. She loves water and will happily stand for a bath.

She loves water so bathing is a piece of cake

TRAVEL/CAR

Amelia Jane loves car rides. She needs help getting in the car but she loves looking out the window or snuggling up on a blanket.

IDEAL HOME:

We feel Amelia Jane would thrive in a home with a family that is mostly home and very inclusive. She would love to come with you wherever you go. She would prefer to be an access all areas dog giving her the freedom to go about her day as she sees fit. She is house trained and will need to be shown where to do her business she knows. Her family will need to be patient and invest time in her and ensure she has daily enrichment because she loves affection. Amelia Jane is the most affectionate kind of canine companion and would love to live with a family that loves cuddles.

Amelia absolutely hates being left alone and left outside She will require a home where she is an indoor dog and not left alone as she does cry if there are no humans home

A home that her family can take her on short walks daily
A home that she can sleep inside with a family member
A home without another dog or cats
Children are fine but must be mature enough to play with her and be gentle
A home that a human is home more often than not
