About Sally Polkington

Victorian Dog Rescue has a 30-day full refund guaranteed if the adoption is not successful, plus a lifetime take back guarantee and support for the life of for the pet.
Meet Miss Sally, a sweet and friendly older lady in years, but certainly not in her actions. Sally loves to entertain her foster family through her comical antics. An avid Geelong Cats supporter, Sally will encourage her boys along by chasing them and the ball around the TV screen. As a playful cat, she loves a good zoomie and playing games, her favourites being chasing a ball and her mouse on a string. Sally has a curious nature and enjoys exploring, even more so when her human explorer friend joins her on her adventures around the house.
When Sally is not expending her energy through play, she loves nothing more than a good nap in the sun, topped only by a nap on her foster carer's lap. She’d be perfectly happy spending the day watching TV with you on your lap. Sally loves to sleep at the bottom of her foster carer's bed at night.
Sally is friendly towards both those she knows as well as strangers. Although affectionate, she does not like to be picked up. She is deaf and as such needs to be approached in a way that does not startle her. Having said this, her deafness does not stop Sally from communicating her needs in the most delightful purr. Sally is house trained.
Sally’s ideal forever family, would be one where her humans work from home a couple of days a week, are chilled, would love a good cuddle on the couch when watching TV and where she could be the only cat. Footy fans would be an added bonus! If Sally sounds like your purrfect match please submit an application.
Thank you to Hamish of Appleby Photography for the fantastic photos of Sally.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer free assistance for six weeks for any issues, a lifetime takeback policy with full refund of the adoption fee, and will always be available to offer advice.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
