About Buddy & Molly
Are you wanting a pair of furbabies that will put a smile on your face with their antics and joy for life?
Introducing us - two cheeky happy loving furbabies looking for our furever home together - we are bonded and will only be adopted together.
Buddy and Molly are both 12 years old (Buddy is a Lhasa Apso and Molly is a Shih Tzu).
Because we are small white fluffy dogs we do like to be ‘those ones’ that means they would prefer someone who is home more often than not, works for home, is retired – you get the picture we are lap dogs!
We think we are a happy and loving pair of dogs that are easy to look after, we are company for each other and both loved cuddles and if you have steps to your bed we will gladly share your bed with you.
As we are that um mature age I think some people call it we would prefer to be in a home where the kids are over 5 years old
We asked our foster mum to describe us if she had too - we watched her get this far away dreamy look on her face and she said to describe you two hmmmm
Molly
Molly is the first one on the couch and last one off the couch. She loves to explore the backyard and play with toys and do zoomies.
Molly does have some lumps on her (not cancerous) that do make her unbalanced at times (when doing zoomies) but doesn't slow her down. Molly loves to spoon with Buddy but if he is not willing Molly is more then happy to find another fur friend to spoon with – she has no fear of dogs – big or small.
Molly can be nervous when meeting new people and being new surroundings but when comfortable her cheeky little nature does come out.
and Buddy…. Well
Buddy will be your little shadow even when you mow the yard. Buddy is the more chilled out of the two cuties and loves cuddling on the couch too – however will get up and follow you when you do.
Buddy will watch over Molly and ensure that she is okay at all times.
He loves exploring outside in the yard and going for walks (please note while they love a walk we think their favourite part is getting you tangled with the lead)
Both Molly and Buddy will give a bark when you come home and you will get greeted with a happy dance.
Both furbabies are great with their food bowls and eating but if you try to hand feed a treat they will take a finger off (snapping crocodiles with a smile)
Mum says we are both so full of love and we get compliments from EVERYONE who meets us - I mean how could you not - we are beautiful and very well behaved.
We are dog and cat friendly and have been a big help with other dogs that have come into care - we love the company but very happy to just be a pair at home.
We do have coats that do require grooming so please keep this in mind when applying as it’s an ongoing expense – this is something that is not negotiable unless you want to tangled woolly sheep in your home!
We are both toilet trained
If you are looking for two gentle and affectionate companions and can offer a warm home, comfortable beds and plenty of love then please send through an adoption application. Molly and I are waiting!
** Please note applications will close Tuesday 22nd February 2022 at 5.30pm

Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
Please Note: We do not hold any animals so please only apply if you are ready to adopt now

Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 2 week trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
