About Ciu Ciu DL2794
If your life is missing a sassy, stubborn, house gremlin then look no further than Ciu Ciu!
She decides which prompts she’ll respond to on any given day, she’s always ready to zoom, and she marches to the beat of her own drum. Not overly interested in conventional toys, Ciu Ciu will amuse herself with pegs, stray trash (you'll learn not to leave anything around!), or toe nibbles.
Ciu Ciu lives with a cat in her foster home and has been nothing but polite. She is also friendly with other dogs and she hasn't been tested with kids. Ongoing training would be beneficial for her and a great bonding exercise for you.
Special care needs to be taken with her diet to avoid her becoming overweight and putting stress on her remaining joints. She doesn’t let her missing leg slow her down, but she does use it as an excuse to avoid walks – she’s much happier doing zoomies in the backyard.
Ciu Ciu can have some accidents at home and in the car (what's a little pee between friends?!). You must be patient and kind while working on this with her. When you work, she will happily keep busy with enrichment food toys like a stuffed kong, frozen lickimat, dry food rolled up in a towel. Once you arrive home, she likes to chills out on the couch with you or follow you around the house.
If you have the perfect castle for Queen Ciu Ciu to rule, email DFLadoption@gmail.com today to apply!
Medical notes
Experience and understanding of the needs of brachycephalic breeds is a must; monitoring exercise levels, maintaining healthy diet, indoor lifestyle and avoiding heat and humidity, maintaining dental, ocular, and skin health, etc. Ciu Ciu is a three-legged dog and special care must be taken to ensure extra stress isn't put on her remaining joints.
