About Chase
Chase is a stunning two year old male German Shepherd who finds himself in search of a new home due to no fault of his own. He is currently living at Willow Tree with his foster family and lots of other German Shepherds.
Chase has a delightful happy personality who tries his hardest to please his humans. He is full of energy and loves to play and goof around. He loves swimming and jumping in the water toughs especially after exercise. Chase adores his humans and follows you around everywhere, seeing how he can ‘help’.
Chase would love it if his humans would take him to group obedience classes to help him settle his excitement, walk on a loose lead and improve his manners and behaviour. Chase has proudly learnt at meal times to ‘sit’ ‘wait’ (till his command to eat) and he will continue to thrive with consistent boundaries and positive praise from his humans.
Chase gets along well with other dogs his size, he is not suitable around little dogs, and has not been tested with cats. He is comfortable around groups of dogs playing together but can get over-excited and vocal which may intimidate shy temperament dogs.
Chase’s ideal family would be a fit couple with a male or female dog that is a similar age who is energetic and playful. Chase is comfortable and well behaved when kennelled as long as he is exercised daily.
Chase has lived with children but we recommend children over 10 years of age as he has a tendency to jump up when he is excited and can, therefore, knock children over.
Chase’s foster carer has kept him very fit. He is used to runs through the paddocks with all his mates in the mornings, then sleeping and sun baking during the day followed by a fast run with the quad bike in the evenings followed by a game of ‘lets see how many German Shepherd’s can fit in the water trough’ (lol)
If you understand the nature of the German Shepherd, have recently owned this breed, and are looking for a companion dog then please consider Chase.
If you think you can give me a new home please contact us by selecting "Enquire about Chase".
Medical notes
Chase is microchipped, vaccinated and desexed.
Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
