About Atami
Atami has a sweet nature that blossoms once she settles with you. She was a very timid mumma cat when she came into care over a year ago with her 8 babies. Has taken her sometime to trust her foster mum. Now Atami's favourite thing to do, is to ambush her foster mum on the toilet for big scratches all over.
She now trusts her foster mum to pick her up for quick cuddles, face smooshes and chin rubs. Likes to tease with her belly opened up for cheeky rubs.
Not a big fan of dogs but tolerates the family pug as he's abit of an old man with bursts of energy.
Atami would benefit a quieter home, with adults, older children or a quiet animal savy child. Sudden loud noises can have her retreat away to her safe place.
Atami loves other cats, young or old. She warms up to them with affectionate headbonks then a quick game of chase around the house. Having another cat friend or two that are laid back, friendly affectionate and playful will ensure Atami will continue to blossom and feel more confident in her new forever home.
Due to her earlier life of being abandoned and living on the streets, Atami would have to be in a 100% inside cat. As she can be startled by loud noises, she would run risk of running off scared and become lost. Atami has come to love the comforts of feeling safe in a family home.
If you feel you have room in your home for a shy but loving girl then maybe Atami is the perfect fit for your family.
Adoption details
Our adoption process consists of:
- An adoption application questionnaire that will be emailed upon an enquiry if we deem your enquiry is suitable for that particular animal. Please read the description of our animals before making an enquiry.
- A meet and greet to ensure yourself and any existing animals are suitable for your chosen furry friend
- A house check to ensure your property is suitable. This my include physically coming to your house, a video call or photos.
- An adoption agreement to sign upon being approved for adoption. This includes a two week trial period to allow your new pet to settle into their new home.
- Please note we are purely volunteer run so sometimes it may take up to 7 business days for the team to get back to your enquiry and we will only contact you if we believe your enquiry is suitable.
