Barbara & Buckley

We’re so well bonded you could say we’re the Bond Sisters! And what a pair we make. I’m Barbara, the cute tortie and she’s Buckley, my fabulous black and white sister from another mister. You can’t tear us apart really, and why would you? I mean look at us! We look so damn cute together don’t we? And please do not feel sorry for Buckley in the slightest, just because she’s missing a leg does not mean she misses out on life in any way, shape or form. That girl can move – especially when we’re chasing down those pesky lasers and toy mice (love those ones with the catnip!). We love to play fight and we really know how to have a good time together, that’s for sure.

Being together with Buckley, we’ve learned to like lots of the same things. Bird watching from inside is high on our list of fun things to do; but cuddles and lounging around you are up there too. Watch out, we might just surround you with our furry feline love! Oh yes and while we’re there, can you rub our tummies please – mine first and then Buckley’s and then mine, and then Buckley’s and then….you get the idea! It’s probably not a big surprise that neither of us much care for those canine creatures, nor kids – we’ll probably run and hide, or hiss a bit – sorry! I’m partial to being picked up and held like a baby, but I’m not going to goo goo and ga ga for you, I’ll just be my cutie pie self and purr and stuff. Buckley is a bit more hesitant about being picked up but I’ve seen how cute she can be with her sweet little kisses, so I say she makes up for it by having lots of love to give. When my beautiful Buckley has to go to the vet, or I do, we both get quite worried and anxious, so we don’t know what we’d do if we were separated from each other. Barbara and Buckley are healthy cats who prefer Smittens dry food and recycled litter. They have been wormed, flea treated, vaccinated, desexed and microchipped (Namexxxx microchip #xxxxxxxx, Namexxxx microchip #xxxxxxxx, source #RE101165). They are available for adoption right now!

We are run by volunteers. We check enquiries three times a day and try to respond within 24 hours. If you want us to follow up, you can text the Cat Phone on 0415-241-211.
To adopt from us you'll be required to have minimum an online meet & greet, a remote house check, show photo ID & proof of address, and fill out & sign an adoption contract.
Our animals are fully vet checked, flea treated, wormed, vaccinated and desexed before being advertised. They are evaluated for behavioural traits, fed a high-quality diet, and any known issues are communicated. NOT NEGOTIABLE CONDITIONS: indoor only/restrained to property & must be fed raw or vet prescription wet food.
We will communicate through every step of the process to ensure that the experience is excellent and your feline companion is the right fit. Read the contract for T&Cs for returns.
You must have residency in Australia to adopt from Cat People of Melbourne. If you are visiting or on a visa, talk to us about fostering instead!
