Hi, my name is Hugo and I am a quite well-mannered young man. I am a beautiful boy with a gentle nature looking for a forever home with an owner who can help me bring out my inner confident dog. I am just a little timid at the moment, but the Precious Paws people say that I will gain more confidence when I am settled with my forever family.

I am a great companion who enjoys hanging out with family and I am good with the little ones. There are no cats or birds in my foster home, so I am untested with those. I'd be best as an only dog at this time.

I love a walk, and bonus - I don’t pull on the leash. Yeah!!! I am a little nervous of strange dogs when out on my walks, but my foster mum is working with me on that. She says I have beautiful manners when I am on my lead. She is proud of me and how gentle I am on the lead. We really enjoy our walks together.

I am easy to look after, need little grooming, don’t jump, dig or bark excessively and I know my general and dinnertime manners. My energy level is medium i.e. I enjoy 1 or 2 walks every day and if you would like to teach me, we could learn a game or two. I am already learning sit, drop, stand and stay.

True to my breed, I enjoy learning new skills from my foster Mum and that is building me into a happier dog. I just love being told I am a “good boy” and getting a pat. I love to follow my humans around the yard and “shepherd” them. I also just love a ride in the car. In fact anywhere you are is okay with me.

I am a loyal companion just looking for the right family to adopt me. My ideal home would be with a loving family with children. A big backyard with room to move is a must and while I don’t jump, a secure 6ft fence would ensure my safety.

Hugo is a fabulous dog for people who want an outstanding companion to train to suit their lifestyle. He loves to do good things and with firm, patient handling, training, and lots of encouragement and companionship, he will develop into a fabulous family dog.
