Ellie (and Kirk)

It is our pleasure to introduce to you, a ready made family, just add forever home!

Ellie (4 year old female) and Kirk (6 year old male) are a sweet and playful bonded pair, already living the good life as pets these two are being surrendered from a very loving home due to a heartbreaking change in circumstances.

Happy to keep each other company, these two will spend most of their day sleeping on every soft surface they can find, often in hilarious positions! They also love to play with their soft toys and cuddle with each other (and their human) on their beds or the couch. They have wonderfully hilarious zoomies including spinning around in circles, and enjoy playing by biting and throwing their soft toys or challenging each other to a tug-of-war. Their favourite game is to perform surgery on soft toys to remove the squeaker.

When cuddling on the couch, Kirk likes constant head and ear rubs. If you stop, he will ask for more by waving his paw at you, tipping his head, or coming closer; and he'll let you know when you get that spot just right by giving a big groan of satisfaction. Ellie likes all pats too, but also likes to “dance” by jumping up and letting you hold her front paws for a few steps. They know commands like “sit” and “shake” so long as there are treats to reward them for all that hard work!

They are not small animal tested so will need a home without cats, but they love meeting new people (Ellie is quite the smoocher and will bestow kisses, whereas Kirk will politely wait for pats from afar), and are social with other dogs. They really enjoy their daily walk and Kirk jumps with excitement whenever the leashes are touched. Kirk is excellent to walk on the lead, while Ellie is also very good but more likely to get distracted by all of the interesting smells. To her, a walk is more of a “sniffari.”

Both have been vaccinated, de-sexed, and microchipped, with a recent dental check performed and both found to have very healthy teeth and gums. Kirk’s front teeth are a little worn at the front, but it doesn’t cause him any problems. Ellie has a minor grass allergy which can make her paws red and itchy if she has done significant walking on grass. She has an ointment that should be applied in a small amount to her paws, just once a week.
