Champagne

Hello, my name is Champagne, I’m the baby of the bunch and foster mum knew straight away that I was going to be different to my brothers, they were both all platinum white, but I was a champagne white, which is where I got my name from. I was born on the first Sunday of December in my foster carer’s bedroom in the tower right next to her bed. Foster mum says I’m an independent soul and I know exactly what I want to do and don’t want nobody trying to tell me to do anything else! I really don’t like it when you pick me up and try cuddle me and I will struggle to get away. I might settle when I’m older, but we won’t know until then. Would you be happy if I was never a lap cat?

I LOVE balls! I love to bat them around and chase them, so right now ping pong balls are my absolute favourite thing, but I keep hitting them under all the furniture so you might need to get a big bag of them, so I have plenty to play with, because they’re so light they bounce really far and I love to zoom around chasing them. I also love any of those stretchy ones especially when you hold them and I run away and see how far I can go until it thwaps me back! Rattly ones too, rattly wands, rattly mice, oh and feathers! I looove to lick chew on feathers so please make sure you have lots of feathery toys for me too!

My mum and I are Tonkinese crosses, so we’ve got that lithe oriental body shape which means I will probably be a smaller but longer cat than you’re used to. I’m also what they call a “lilac point”. It means my ears, my feet, my tail, and a little bit around my nose is a purple-y grey colour! I’ve been told I will keep darkening until I’m about a year, but once I reach that I should be pretty much set in my colour. I wonder how dark I might go?

I currently live with a big canine foster brother, and he doesn’t bother me one bit. As long as any canine sibling I might have will leave me to do my own thing we will get along just fine. If he tries to chase me, I won’t like that at all. I’ve also met children and they don’t phase me either, but please let them know I don’t want to be picked up and would much prefer if they played with the toys with me instead.

Because I have a bucket load of energy at this age, I will need someone to be home to keep me amused often, alternatively if I have a feline sibling to keep me company that would also be acceptable. Please don’t leave me for long periods of time for the first few months until I’m sleeping more through the day (about 2 months).
