About Buster ~ 4.5yr Old Kelpie X( On Trial 13/3/22)
Buster is a 4.5yr Old Kelpie X looking for a new forever best friend. He is an incredibly soft, gentle boy who loves nothing more than spending time with humans, whether he is following you around the yard or curling up next to you on the sofa.
Buster will take some time settling into his new environment, so his new family will need to understand that he will require a quite home, with a lot of human company and daily repetition. This will help him learn to trust his new owner and allow him to settle comfortably.
Buster has lived a sheltered life, having not had much exposure to the outside world, so actives such as going for walks, feeding time, and playing ball all require encouragement and patience. He does know how to sit, lay down and go to his crate when he is ready for a sleep. Buster requires a home with plenty of inside time and with older or no children as loud noises and sudden movements cause him to become startled easily. He is ok with other dogs but ideally he is best to be an only dog. Buster however does not like cats and is scared of them.
When he is excited or nervous, he will walk around in circles as though he is unsure how to respond.
One of Buster loves is water, if you pull out the hose or sprinkler, he will play for hours chasing the water. He also loves a good belly rub. Once you have gained Buster’s trust, he will quickly become your best friend and loyal companion.
Buster loves to go for walks however he can be very nervous when bicycles approach or cars driving past, so you will need to start with a quite area and walking distance from home with routine for first few weeks is recommendation. He is working on stop & wait before crossing the road.
Buster is very chilled boy who loves just being by your side, snuggle up with you watching TV and being just around you. If you feel you can provide the right forever home for this beautiful boy and have plenty of time and love to give, please reach out.

PLEASE NOTE: When applying for our dogs and puppies, please ensure to list the name of the dog you wish to adopt. Please do NOT just list the reference number or the microchip number as this will delay your application reaching the correct foster carer.
Buster is currently living in the Newcastle Region NSW. His adoption fee is $500, and he is already de-sexed, vaccinated, flea/worm treated and microchipped.
