About Nipper
Nipper’s personality:
Nipper is a cat with spunk. Fun fact – Nipper wasn’t his original name! His name change is very appropriate though as this cheeky boy will give you a nip, often when you are unaware. This doesn’t happen too often – he is just trying to keep you on your toes and get your attention. When not fitting his bulk in tight spaces for a nap, he loves a groom.
Nipper’s ideal forever home:
Nipper would love to live out the rest of his days with someone who will give him love when he wants it, know when to leave him be, and be able to take care of any medical needs that arise from a cat living in its senior years. Ideally it would be best if he is adopted with his brother Felix as he has spent the majority of his life with his company. He is not a cat who would enjoy being in the company of a boisterous family so he would prefer a quieter household.
Nipper’s story:
Nipper arrived at Sweet Pea with his brother Felix. They came into care because their human mother had sadly passed away. Nipper may be in his twilight years, but there is more life for this boy to live.
More about Nipper:
Nipper is a unique 15 year old cat with a short-length black and white coat. He was very timid and shy when he arrived, most likely due to the change of his circumstances. His demeanor has changed as he settled in, and one of his favourite things is to be groomed and brushed. Show him the brush in your hand and he will emerge from his bed where he spends the majority of his time and wait somewhat impatiently for you to start. Just watch out for a potential nip! He is not a very active kitty, preferring his little igloo/ bed which he finds comfort in. He is one of those cats who like tight spaces. If this unique cat is the one for you and you want to give this senior a home, please fill in the adoption questionnaire. Please also consider adopting Felix as these boys should continue to be a pair. The adoption fee for Nipper is $150.
Medical notes
Nipper’s medical history:
Nipper is a very large boy! While some of this is due to him being a big statured cat, he is also a bit over-weight. We have been working on getting his weight down, and while he has lost some he has more yet to lose. His potential adopter will need to be strict in maintaining a healthy diet where he will continue to lose that extra padding!
He is otherwise healthy for his age, is desexed, vaccinated, and up-to-date with his flea tick and worming treatments.
