About Frida & Harriet
Hello! We are Harriet (tortie) and Frida (ginger) and we’re a pair of cheeky sisters born in November 2020. Our foster mum rescued us, our sister, our six little siblings and mum from a construction site in Coburg in February 2021 and we’ve been living with her ever since. Our sister Georgie was adopted in September 2021, and we’ve just taken a bit longer to get ready for our forever home.
We’ve been a long, slow burn getting comfortable living with our foster mum. We are looking for a super special home that’s going to understand that we’ll need lots of time and space, plus patience and a willing to persist with us getting comfortable and to the stage we’re currently at with our foster mum. It’s taken us a long time to get comfortable with her but deep down we love her, and we’ve definitely started to let that show over the past couple of months.
We love to play with each other, we love to play with our toys, and we love to do zoomies at all hours of the day and night. We love to climb up and down our cat tree, we love to scratch our various scratching posts and we love to climb up on things and look out the window (even when we’re not meant too!). We also love to cuddle and sleep together for hours each day. Our foster mum says we have the funniest, cheekiest personalities. We like to sit and observe from a distance, and once we get comfortable in a space, we’ll sit nearby but don’t make any sudden moves.
We have healthy appetites; we love to eat and we’re not fussy. We’re incredibly treat motivated so could make some real progress in our forever home if you ply us with our favourite treats. We don’t have any issues toileting in our litterbox.
We (mainly Frida) have started waking our foster mum up between 6.00 a.m. and 8.00 a.m. by vigorously pushing on her bedroom door until she gets up and lets us in. We’ve also started getting braver and joining her on the other edge of the bed every now and then. She thinks we could be really smoochie, cuddly bed/lap cats but we’re just resisting giving in.
Being the ladies that we are, we would best suit a home where we are the only pets, and with humans over 12 years old
We’d love for you to come and meet us so that our foster mum can walk you through our quirks and give you a good overall idea of our time with her.
