About Dusty
Dusty is a 9 month old, male blonde Kelpie x Border Collie. He is certainly a beautiful pup.
While he is only quite young, he has already learned quite a lot including sit, drop and wait. He has reasonable recall already and answers to his name most of the time. Dusty has lovely manners at meal times and waits away from his bowl while dinner is being made and knows to sit until he is told it is ok to eat. He also sleeps happily in his crate at night and has toilet training under control.
Dusty would like an active owner who is happy to put in the time to further his training. He will need a firm hand as he is still learning his manners but he will certainly reward you with a lot of love in return. Dusty loves his treats and responds really well to commands that involve food rewards!
Lots of space to run and secure fencing will suit this boy. If Dusty’s new home has other dogs, he would prefer an older dog who is happy to put him in his place when needed as he is still learning acceptable behaviour around other dogs. He would also love it if someone was home most of the time as he just LOVES human company (particularly foster mum).
Sounds like your new family member?? Send in an application and you could be getting Dusty kisses soon.
Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. A meet and greet can be arranged if both parties wish to proceed, and we also offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
