About Athena
Hello, my name is Athena and i am taking applications for one lucky person to welcome me into their home for perminant residency! I know we are in a rental crisis but I am not looking for anything short term, i MUST have the BEST home with the BEST housemates, thats not too much to ask is it? Great, i didnt think so eaither. Now that we have my basic needs sorted, let me tell you a little bit more about me to see if we could be a good fit as i dont just want a new housemate, i want someome to love!
Im a bigger girl, so theres more to love. I also double up as a spare pillow if your running low in the house. However im working on slimming down because its 2022 and new year new me, you know? I came into care at 8.8kg and am now 6.6kg. I have a weak spot for food that is not good for me, so im gonna need to be around people that love me and spoil me in other ways, but not with excess food!! I can control myself with kibble, so you can trust me with that. But Im not saying you cant indulge me in the odd treat or two here and there for being a good girl... as long as you don't derail my progess because i want a long and healthy life!
I am pretty nervous and skittish with new people so if you are lucky enough to get to meet me please be understanding and patient that i might be a little too scared to properly say hello. Ive had a lot of change recently and im still learning that new people can be nice, so it takes me a while to get to know someone. But once i spend some quality time with you ill love bomb you every day for the rest of our lives.
My foster mum says im cheeky and cute and have lots of love to give. I get so exited when she comes home i just cannot contain myself, but once i calm down im down to be a couch potato and chill for the rest of the day. I love to play outside in a yard, but i havent yet learned to walk on a leash - im hoping you would like to teach me now that ive got less weight to carry... i think walking could be fun!
I dont mind if youve got other 4 legged housemates, as long as youve got plenty of time to love me too. Foster mum has 5 cats and 2 dogs and ive been pretty good with them. I would prefer if you were someone who is retired or works from home, or maybe works part time. Im nervous that when you go, you might not come back and this affects my toileting. The more you are home the more confidence i will grow and remember when and where to toilet, i just need a bit of routine and patience in my life - dont we all?
Thats pretty much me sorted, im just your regular every day angel with lots of love to give, basically im perfect and i deserve to find someone equally as perfect for me. Are you the person ive been looking for???
Medical notes
Athena came to us a bit overweight and she has now lost 2.2kg and is a much healthier size now. Her patellas are both stable despite carrying a little extra weight. Her blood results were good.
She has recently had a dental and had two teeth extracted. She has healed well from this procedure.
Athena is microchipped and desexed, as well as up to date with flea, tick, intestinal worm and heart worm prevention.
